“The GOP establishment is retiring early to throw Republican control of the House into doubt. And if Democrats take over the House before the next election because of early retirements, they could pass a resolution that would stop a Trump victory in the 2024 election. How? By nullifying the electoral vote via the 14th amendment — determining that Trump was “an insurrectionist.” That resolution would pass in the Senate too, because Democrats have a slim majority.”

The Green Hornet was my favorite as a kid, despite my peer group being into Batman or Superman. I dug a guy who appeared to operate outside the law and with the incomparable Brice Lee as Kato, was totally bad ass. 49 years ago this week, The Band held their farewell concert at Winterland, along with just about everyone they worked with in their career. Aside from their own musical greatness, their ability to seamlessly work with and behind so many different legends made them giants of rock and roll. So sad they're all gone now, but their music is eternal.
