49 years ago this week, The Band held their farewell concert at Winterland, along with just about everyone they worked with in their career. Aside from their own musical greatness, their ability to seamlessly work with and behind so many different legends made them giants of rock and roll. So sad they're all gone now, but their music is eternal.
This is one of my favorite tunes with Van Morrison. This clip restores the part Scorsese edited out.

Welcome to The Green Hornet Hive

The Green Hornet was my favorite as a kid, despite my peer group being into Batman or Superman. I dug a guy who appeared to operate outside the law and with the incomparable Brice Lee as Kato, was totally bad ass. I will make this community as conservatively eclectic as possible with a range of topics. Pull up a chair, a beer, what have you and enjoy.

49 years ago today. They’re all gone now. I miss them. Their talent, their genius.
